Dee Klenck
Dee Klenck was a local historian, writer, and preserver of Idaho biographies. She began as a local businesswoman in 1968 with her husband George Klenck Sr., promoting Treasure Valley Television service for the tri-city area for more than 20 years. After 20 years in a small community, Dee grew intrigued by the community history. She began submitting feature articles about Payette citizens for the Independent Enterprise newspaper local to Payette. Her stories caught attention and created conversation. Dee began to envision a larger collection of biographical notes to honor a largercommunity--the whole state of Idaho. By 1990, the Idaho's Hall of Fame organization was just an idea. However, by 1995, IHF was on its way to becoming an important partner inrecognizing Idaho stories from the citizens who get up each day and decide to contribute something back. Dee's only wish is to provide motivation for those in the mix of everyday life. She has organized a collection of stories for you and me.
